The Lookout has direct access to the coastal path, and the nearest beach is Burry Port beach West, which is a 3 minute walk along the coastal path
Yes, you may bring one well behaved dog. They will love their beach walks and watching the world go by from the balcony. We just ask that your dog is not left at the property unattended.
Yes, there is a dedicated parking space for your use during your stay. If you do bring an extra car, there is also free on-street parking close by, and a paid car park in the harbour a short walk away.
There is no facility for electric car charging directly at the apartment. But the Harbour car park a few moments away does have a charging bay.
It is a 10 minute walk from Burry Port train station to The Lookout. Ideal for those wanting a car-free holiday. Or those wanting to walk sections of the Wales Coast path and need transport back to The Lookout.
Yes! There is a secure bike storage facility that you may use during your stay. We recommend that you lock your bikes in the store, as it is a shared facility with other residents.
Unfortunately there is no lift in the building. As the apartment is on the top floor (second floor), the apartment may be unsuitable for those with mobility issues.
The kitchen has a full oven and hob, microwave, and a fridge and separate freezer. Plus other essentials such as kettle, toaster, pots and pans, cutlery and utensils. As owners we stay here a lot, and have made it a home from home.
Currently the answer is no. But watch this space, as we plan to install one in Autumn 2026!
Check-in time is 4pm and check-out time is 10am. If the apartment is ready earlier than 4pm, I let you know on the day. Sometimes a later check-out can be arranged, subject to availability.
Yes, there is fast full fibre broadband installed with WiFi access.
Craze Crepes Cafe is a 2 minute walk, as is the Harbour Lights Tea Room. The Co-op shop is a 10 minute walk away in town, where there are coffee shops, chip shops and restaurants including a Greek deli and bar.
Yes, bed linen, towels and shower mats are provided for your stay. Plus tea towels in the kitchen area.
The Lookout sleeps 4 people over 2 bedrooms. The master bedrrom has a king size bed plus ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom is flexible and can be made into 2 single beds or 1 king size bed.
If you book direct, the policy is as follows: a 25% deposit is paid at time of booking. Cancel less than 45 days before arrival - a 50% charge is made. Cancel less than 30 days before arrival - a charge equal to the full booking amount is made. We recommend guests take out travel insurance when they book.
